At Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary, we offer a multitude of fun and educational nature-based programs year round for students from preschool through high school. Schools and groups that visit our sanctuary participate in field walks, natural history presentations, and experiential research projects.
Our teacher-naturalists also travel to schools and community venues to deliver inquiry-based natural history lessons. We also lead outdoor explorations of areas beyond our sanctuary’s borders including dune hikes, canoe trips on kettle ponds, and boat trips in Wellfeet Harbor and Nauset Marsh.
Wellfleet Bay hosts a wide variety of birds year-round. Join us on an upcoming birding program or go birding on your own. Whichever you choose, bring the checklist of birds you might see at Wellfleet Bay.
